Two of the youngest teams in the league meet tonight when the Philadelphia 76ers visit the Utah Jazz.
The Philadelphia 76ers looked to be turning over a new leaf after consecutive wins over the the Magic and the Heat, but the Sixers went back to rock bottom last night when they lost to the Trailblazers by 114-93. Tony Wroten had 22 points off the bench while Michael Carter-Williams added 17 points, but the Sixers were still no match for the Blazers who were without their second-leading scorer in LaMarcus Aldridge. The game was actually pretty tight in the first half before the Blazers started raining in the threes, especially Wesley Matthews who made 7 of 14 from beyond the arc. With the loss, Philadelphia drops to 4-24 overall and 4-10 on the road.

Meanwhile, the Utah Jazz have been playing some of their best basketball lately to win three of their last four overall including a 97-91 over the Grizzlies in their last outing. Alec Burks led the way with 23 points while Gordon Hayward added 21, but the biggest props have to go the Jazz's bigs who controlled the boards and outrebounded the Grizzlies by 49-34. Rudy Gobert was very useful in extended minutes, scoring just two points but grabbing 16 rebounds, including five on the offensive glass, taking full advantage of the Grizzlies who were without Zach Randolph. With the win, Utah improves to 9-20 overall and 5-11 on the road.
In ATS trends, the 76ers are 4-0 ATS in their last four games playing on zero days rest and 10-1 ATS in their last 11 road games against a team with a home record below .400, while the Jazz 5-1 ATS in their last six games overall but just 1-6 ATS in their last seven games following a win.
Head to head, the 76ers are 1-5 ATS in the last six meetings in Utah and the Home team is 7-2 ATS in the last nine meetings overall.
I really thought the Sixers would keep the score respectable against the Blazers last night, but it looks like they've gone back to their old ways so I'm definitely taking the Jazz at home, especially coming off a solid win over the Grizzlies.
