NBA Player Updates 12/28: The Latest News from Around the League, Tonight's TV Schedule and More
November 28, 2014
After 21 games in two days, the NBA will be backing things off a bit today, with just a half-dozen matchups on the schedule. That said, there’s some intriguing basketball to come in the next several hours, so with that in mind let’s check out the headlines like we do each morning. Here’s the latest.
Clippers-Raptors: The Clippers came into this one on an eight-game win streak at home, but the Raptors put an end to that run. Kyle Lowry posted 25 points in a 110-98 victory in L.A. last night, with the Toronto bench adding 18 points in the fourth quarter.
Jonas Valanciunas put up 22 points and 11 rebounds for the Raptors, and the team got a nice bounce-back following their last game against Chicago (a loss that snapped a six-game win streak).

Grizzlies-Heat: This one was tight down the stretch, and ended up being a pretty competitive game. The Grizzlies were able to fend off the Heat in the end however, and put up a 103-95 victory in Miami. Mike Conley led the way with 24 points, and Marc Gasol doubled up on 22 points and 10 rebounds.
Memphis never trailed in this one, and they also got some good production from key role-players. That included Beno Udrih, who had 11.
Dwayne Wade put up 25 for the Heat, who are now 6-11 at home.
Nets-Pacers: Brooklyn came into the Pacers game last night riding a modest 3-game win streak, but Indiana had other ideas. The Pacers put up a 110-85 win in Brooklyn last night, with David West posting 17 points (15 of those came in the second half).
Rodney Stuckey put up 20 points of his own, and helped out immensely during a key third-quarter run that eventually put the Pacers up for good. Indiana is now 11-20 on the year.
Bulls-Pelicans: Let’s finish up in the East this morning as we check out the Bulls. They’re now on a six-game win streak after a 107-100 victory over the Pelicans last night. Jimmy Butler had another great game as he continues his All-Star-caliber campaign, posting 33 points on the evening. Derrick Rose added 19 of his own.
Chicago is now 21-9 on the year and had three bench players scoring in double figures fir this one. It was their ninth win in the last 10 games.
