The Washington Wizards and Houston Rockets play Monday night at the Toyota Center.
The Washington Wizards have won eight of their last 10 games and begin a five-game road trip. On the season, the Wizards are averaging 100.5 points on 47.2 percent shooting and are allowing 96.6 points on 43.6 percent shooting. John Wall is averaging 17.8 points and 10.3 assists while Bradley Beal is averaging 14.9 points and three rebounds. Paul Pierce is shooting 43.7 percent from the field and Marcin Gortat is grabbing 8.3 rebounds. The Washington Wizards continue to shoot the ball well just about everywhere on the floor, and they’ve won nine straight games SU when topping 100 points. The Wizards have clearly proven to be a legit East contender but this road trip could take things to another level as many of the opponents are against West playoff teams.

The Houston Rockets are coming off a Sunday loss to the San Antonio Spurs and return home where they’ve won seven of their last 10 games SU. While the Rockets are a solid offensive team, they’re shooting just 34.8 percent from deep in their last five games, a number that’s not going to cut it. The Rockets are 16-1 SU when scoring 100-plus points.
The Wizards are 19-9 ATS in their last 28 games playing on 1 days rest and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games. You guys know I absolutely love this Wizards team and take them just about every time they're getting points. This is no different. The Rockets have been shaky the last couple of weeks and are coming off a tough game Sunday against the Spurs. Give me the better, more balanced team that isn't playing a back-to-back.
