The Detroit Pistons go for a season-high third straight win tonight when they battle the Sacramento Kings.
The Detroit Pistons who have been playing some terrible basketball all season are suddenly looking at a third straight win after taking down the Cavaliers by 103-80 on Sunday. As we all expected, the Pistons got dominated by the Cavs early on and were already down by 28-17 after the first quarter, but what we didn't expect was for the Pistons to dominate the rest of the way and outscore the Cavs 86-52. Brandon Jennings had a massive game of 25 points on 10 of 18 shooting with five threes while Andre Drummond dominated the paint with 16 points, 17 rebounds and five blocks. Despite the last couple wins, Detroit is still only 7-23 on the season and 4-10 on the road.

Meanwhile, the Orlando Magic have won three of their last four and are going for a third straight win after beating the Heat by 102-101 last night. The Magic went early and often to Nikola Vucevic who led the way with 26 points on 12 of 17 shooting, Victor Oladipo added 22 points while Tobias Harris added 18 points as the Magic escaped Miami with the narrow win. With the win, Orlando improves to 13-21 overall and 9-12 on the road.
In ATS trends, the Pistons are 6-14 ATS in their last 20 games against a team with a losing record and 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games following an ATS win, while the Magic are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games playing on zero days rest and 12-5 ATS in their last 17 home games against a team below .400.
Head to head, the Home team is 8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings and the Pistons are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings in Orlando.
The Pistons are a perfect 2-0 since trading off Josh Smith, but the Magic have really rediscovered some of their early-season form and should be the safer pick in this one. A bit of a coin flip game, but I'm definitely preferring the Magic over the Pistons in this one.
