The Milwaukee Bucks host the Indiana Pacers in a Central Division matchup in the Eastern Conference on Friday night.
The Indiana Pacers are just 12-21 on the year and 5-12 away from home, but in the East they’re just two games back on the final playoff spot giving the injury-riddled Pacers a chance to still salvage their season. Indiana boasts the league’s top defense in terms of points allowed, as the team concedes just 96.3 points per game on the year. The Pacers will like their chances to improve given the return of George Hill, who has played limited minutes in each of the last five games. Hill is averaging 14.2 points per game since coming back for an offense that definitely needs the help ranking 26th in the league with just 94.9 points per game. The bigger key in this contest could be the play of David West and Roy Hibbert down low though, as the Bucks’ defense-minded center Larry Sanders will be out for this contest.

The Milwaukee Bucks are 17-16 on the year and 7-6 at home as the team hovers around the .500 mark with plenty of potential being exhibited. The Bucks have won two straight games entering this contest with the most recent result a 96-80 road win in Cleveland against a Cavs team missing LeBron James. The Bucks should lean heavily on Brandon Knight to fuel the offense with the third year guard averaging 18 points, 5.1 assists and 4.5 rebounds per game on the year. The Bucks rely pretty heavily on their bench as well with the unit contributing 33.6 of the 99.4 points the team averages per game. Milwaukee defeated Indiana in the lone matchup this year 87-81 on November 4th, as Brandon Knight led all scorers with 23 points.
The Pacers may be on the rise but at a cheap price at home the Bucks look like the easy choice here.
