The Line: Chicago Bulls -11.5 -- Over/Under: 206 See the Latest Odds

The Boston Celtics and Chicago Bulls meet Saturday night at the United Center.

The Boston Celtics have lost five of their last six games and are coming off a Friday loss to the Mavericks. On the season, the Celtics are averaging 103.3 points on 46 percent shooting and are allowing 103.7 points on 45.5 percent shooting. Jeff Green is averaging 18.5 points and 4.2 rebounds while Jared Sullinger is averaging 13.5 points and 7.9 rebounds. Avery Bradley is shooting 42.7 percent from the field and Kelly Olynyk is grabbing 5.6 rebounds. Despite scoring 100-plus points in six of their last nine games, the Boston Celtics are shooting just 28.7 percent from beyond the arc in their last five games. The Celtics are also just 3-9 SU on the road this season, which doesn’t bode well for them here. However, Boston remains competitive and continues to fight. Marcus Thornton is expected to miss this game with a calf injury.

Bulls vs. Celtics - 1/3/15 NBA Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Chicago Bulls have won eight of their last nine games and continue to look like an East contender. On the season, the Bulls are averaging 102.6 points on 45.1 percent shooting and are allowing 98.5 points on 43.2 percent shooting. Jimmy Butler is averaging 21.9 points and 6.2 rebounds while Pau Gasol is averaging 17.6 points and 11 rebounds. Derrick Rose is producing five assists and Taj Gibson is shooting 52.8 percent from the field. The Chicago Bulls are really hitting their stride during this stretch, especially on the defensive side where they’re allowing just 96 points in their last five games. However, the Bulls are just 9-6 SU at home this season. Mike Dunleavy is questionable for this game with an ankle injury.

The Celtics are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games playing on 0 days rest and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games. The Bulls are 5-13 ATS in their last 18 home games and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 vs. NBA Atlantic. The Celtics are 2-7-1 ATS in the last 10 meetings in Chicago and 1-6-1 ATS in the last 8 meetings overall.

While the Bulls are by far the better team, the Celtics continue to play hard and are at least competing for the most part. Also, I don't like the way the Bulls play at home, as they haven't been covering and are barely winning outright. I like the Celtics and the truckload of points here.
