John Wall and the Washington Wizards pay a visit to the New Orleans Pelicans tonight.
The Washington Wizards were absolutely cruising their way through the season before embarking on this five-game road trip that has resulted in one win and three straight losses. On Saturday, the Wizards probably thought they had a good shot at beating the shorthanded Spurs who haven't been playing at their best, but John Wall and Bradley Beal scored just 15 points each as the Wizards lost by 101-92. There just wasn't any stopping the Spurs who shot 55.1 percent from the field while finishing with six players in double figures. With the loss, Washington falls to 22-11 on the season and a solid 8-7 on the road.

Meanwhile, the New Orleans Pelicans have have alternated wins and losses in their last eight games which doesn't bode well for tonight's game, because they absolutely crushed the Rockets by 111-83 on Friday. Tyreke Evans had 21 points on 10 of 15 shooting while Ryan Anderson led the scoring with 22 points off the bench, but the best part of the win was that the Pelicans dominated with Anthony Davis scored just seven points. With the win, New Orleans improves to 17-16 on the season and 11-4 at home.
In ATS trends, the Wizards are 2-6-1 ATS in their last nine road games and 1-5-1 ATS in their last seven games following a loss, while the Pelicans are a perfect 5-0 ATS in their last five games overall and 7-2 ATS in their last nine games at home.
Head to head, the Wizards are 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings overall and a perfect 7-0 ATS in the last seven meetings in New Orleans.
I know the Wizards have been so good against the Pelicans in New Orleans lately, but they're going through their struggles at the moment so I'm just going to go with my gut and take the Pelicans who are coming off a massive win at home whic will have that home crowd buzzing all night.
