The Detroit Pistons hope to keep the ball rolling after winning seven straight since trading Josh Smith. Greg Monroe is averaging 14.8 points and 9.4 rebounds while Brandon Jennings is averaging 14.1 points and 6.3 assists. Andre Drummond is grabbing 13.3 rebounds and D.J. Augustin is shooting 38.5 percent from the field. The Detroit Pistons are shooting 47.4 percent from the field and allowing 42.2 percent shooting in their last five games. All of a sudden, the Pistons are playing to their potential and may start thinking playoffs if they can keep it up. It’ll be interesting to see just how long this can continue.
The Hawks are 19-7 ATS in their last 26 road games and 20-6 ATS in their last 26 games overall. The Pistons are 16-35 ATS in their last 51 home games and 7-0 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The under is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings.
I really, really like the way the Hawks have been playing and we've made some big money off them recently. However, the Pistons were a sleeper playof team before the season began and are finally starting to play like it now that Josh Smith is no longer around. A red hot Pistons team at home with the free points? I have to take Detroit in this spot.
