The Minnesota Timberwolves travel to the Pepsi Center to take on the Denver Nuggets tonight.

After snapping a 15-game losing streak on Tuesday, the Minnesota Timberwolves went back to old habits and lost by 110-99 to the Suns last night. Mo Williams led the way with five threes en route to a game-high 26 points while Andrew Wiggins added 17 points, but poor defense allowed the Suns to shoot a blistering 55.2 percent from the field while winning the rebound battle by 46-36 which is unforgivable against the Suns' smaller lineups. With the loss, Minnesota drops to 6-32 on the season and 3-16 on the road, but they did manage to cover the spread as 14-point underdogs.

Meanwhile, the Denver Nuggets were riding a five-game win streak into Dallas last night but were unable to complete the home-and-home sweep, falling to the Mavericks by 97-89. Jameer Nelson scored 14 points against his former team while Arron Afflalo scored a team-high 16 points, but Ty Lawson just couldn't buy a bucket, missing his first eight shots before finishing with 11 points and 12 assists. With the loss, Denver drops back to 18-21 on the season and 6-13 on the road.

In ATS trends, the Wolves are 5-1 ATS in their last six road games and 5-21 ATS in their last 26 games playing on zero days rest, while the Nuggets are 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven games overall and 7-15-1 ATS in their last 23 games playing on zero days rest.

Head to head, the Wolves are 3-8 ATS in the last 11 meetings overall and 11-4 ATS in the last 15 meetings in Denver.

The Wolves weren't too bad in last night's loss to the Suns, but there aren't many visiting teams that play well in Denver, especially on the second night of a back to back set, so I'm taking the Nuggets to win this one by double digits.
