NBA Player Updates 1/21: The Latest News from Around the League, Tonight's TV Schedule and More
January 21, 2015
After a light evening of action last night, the NBA is going all out in the coming hours. We’ve got 12 games to look forward to tonight, but before we get into all that action, let’s check out some of the major newsmakers around the league right now. Here’s the latest.
Heat-Thunder: Both Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook scored 19 points in what ended up being a very meaningful game last night against the Heat. Not significant because Miami is a big-time Eastern Conference opponent, but because the Thunder are finally over the .500 mark--for the first time this year.
OKC ended up taking it 94-86 thanks to a 21-11 turnover differential, leading to a 22-9 mark in points off turnovers. Westbrook would post 10 rebounds and Durant would add eight boards and eight assists.
The Thunder are 13-5 when Durant plays this year.

Spurs-Nuggets: In last night’s only other game, the Spurs continued to improve and get healthier. The result was a 109-99 victory over the Nuggets in Denver.
Tony Parker put up 18 points and Kawhi Leonard put up 17 with 15 rebounds. It was San Antonio’s fourth win in a row and their fifth straight win over the Nuggets.
Leonard has been back for three games after missing out on 15 due to a bruise on his right hand. He’s averaging 16.3 PPG since he’s been back.
On the other side, Kenneth Faried put up 26 points and 14 rebounds in the losing effort. It was Denver’s fourth straight loss.
NBA Daily Schedule: Here’s a look at the upcoming games in the 2014-15 NBA season, including the start times and TV networks where you can catch each matchup.
