The Brooklyn Nets travel to the Sleep Train Arena to battle the Sacramento Kings tonight.
After snapping an ugly seven-game skid with a surprise win over the Wizards, the Brooklyn Nets fell back to losing habits as the Wizards beat them by 99-90 on Saturday. Jarrett Jack continued his fine form with 22 points and eight assists on 10 of 18 shooting, while Joe Johnson and Brook Lopez added 15 points each, but that was all she wrote as no other player contributed anything noteworthy. It's not like the Nets got crushed or anything, but with the game tied at 81 early in the fourth, the Wizards just had more reliable players to go to, which was the difference in the end. With the loss, Brooklyn drops to 17-24 overall and 8-14 at home.

Meanwhile, the Sacramento Kings have lost five of their last six games and were beating by the Blazers 98-94 on Monday for their fourth straight loss. Rudy Gay led the way with 26 points on 10 of 19 shooting while DeMarcus Cousins dominted with 22 points ,19 rebounds and four blocks but the Kings' hopes ended with Cousins' sixth foul on what looked like a flop from the Blazers' Thomas Robinson. Cousins must be at boiling point now because this wasn't the first time he's been fouled out on dramatic flop, but the bottom line is that he is absolutely dominating the paint on a nightly basis. However, the Kings will continue to pile up the losses if they keep turning the ball over like they did against the Blazers because their eight turnovers in the fourth quarter proved to be their undoing and that's been a major problem for them all season.
In ATS trends, the Nets are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games against a team below .400 and 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games overall, while the Kings are 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall and 5-11-2 ATS in their last 18 home games.
Head to head, the Nets are 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings overall but the Home team is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings.
Neither of these two teams have been in good form lately but this just looks like an ideal spot for the Kings to snap out of their funk and claim a win over a struggling team at home. Take the Kings to pull away late and win this one and cover the spread.
