The Oklahoma City Thunder travel to the nation's capital to battle the Washington Wizards tonight.
The Oklahoma City Thunder have been on an absolute surge lately, winning four of their last five overall and looking for a fourth straight after beating the Heat by 94-86 last night. Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook overcame some rough shooting nights to lead the team with 19 points each while Reggie Jackson and Anthony Morrow provided sparks off the bench with 16 and 12 points respectively as the Thunder pulled away late in a close contest. The win didn't come without its dramas because everyone held their breaths when they saw Durant clutching his elbow after falling to the ground following a dunk, but he seemed to shake it off just fine. It certainly wasn't the prettiest of wins, but it does lift the Thunder above .500 for the first time this season as they are now 21-20 overall and 9-13 on the road.

Meanwhile, the Washington Wizards have won seven of their last nine games overall and will be feeling pretty good after destroying the Sixers by 111-76 on Monday. Marcin Gortat had 20 points on 9 of 11 shooting while John Wall added 11 points and 10 assists as the Wizards stormed out of the gates to a 55-32 lead at halftime before resting everyone in the fourth quarter. In what was always going to be an easy win, there really isn't much to comment on except that the Wizards improved to 29-13 on the season which is good enough for second place in the Eastern Conference standings.
In ATS trends, the Thunder are 2-6-1 ATS in their last nine games overall but just 1-4 ATS in their last five road games, while the Wizards are 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall and 15-7-1 ATS in their last 23 against the NBA Northwest.
Head to head, the Thunder are 1-4-1 ATS in the last six meetings and just 2-9 ATS in the last 11 meetings in Washington.
I was already leaning towards the Wizards in this one and after seeing the overwhelming ATS trends, there's not much reason to go against the Wizards at home in this one.
