The Washington Wizards travel to the Moda Center to battle the Portland Trailblazers tonight.
The Washington Wizards have won seven of their last 10 overall but will be looking to bounce back after falling in a heartbreaking 105-103 overtime loss against the Thunder on Wednesday. Nene led the scoring with 24 points while John Wall had a big game of 18 points, 13 assists and four steals, but while the Wizards had the upper game for the most of the game, they just couldn't find an answer for Kevin Durant and Rusell Westbrook who punished them with 34 and 32 points respectively. All in all, it was a really close game that could have gone either way, but the Wizards just had a poor shooting night with Bradley Beal's 5 of 21 shooting being the biggest culprit. With the loss, Washington droppped to 29-14 on the season and 18-6 at home.

Meanwhile, the Portland Trailblazers have lost five of their last six overall and were beaten by the Celtics by 90-89 last night. Damian Lillard led the way with 21 points but shot just 8 of 23 from the field while Wesley Matthews added 18 points, but even against one of the worst defensive teams in the league, the Blazers shot just 37.1 percent from the field as they continue to play without the injured LaMarcus Aldridge. With the loss, Portland fell to 31-13 overall and 19-5 at home.
In ATS trends, the Wizards are 4-1-1 ATS in their last six games following a loss and 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record, while the Blazers are 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record and 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall.
Head to head, the Wizards are 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings overall and the Under is 7-2 in the last nine meetings in Portland.
The Blazers actually opened as minor favorites for this meeting but the public have been all over the Wizards and that looks like the smarter pick in this one. Ordinarilly, I'd almost automatically take the Blazers at home against a team with a winning record, but the Wizards should be good enough to take advantage of a Portland team missing their best scorer.
