NBA Player Updates 1/25: The Latest News from Around the League, Tonight's TV Schedule and More
January 25, 2015
We’ve got a busy day ahead of us in the NBA, with 11 games on the upcoming schedule. While we’re waiting on all that on-court drama, let’s take our daily look around the league and check out some of the notable players and stats out there right now.
Hornets-Knicks: The Knicks have regained that losing edge, and all it took was a trip to Charlotte to do it. With Brian Roberts filling in for Kemba Walker (who was injured), the Hornets posted a 76-71 victory for their ninth win in 11 games.
Roberts himself scored 17 points on 5-of-9 shooting.
As of right now, we’ve really got no timeline on Walker’s absence. He’s missed three of the last five with a cyst on his left knee.

Bucks-Pistons: The Bucks posted a season-high 33 assists against the Pistons in Milwaukee last night, and the result of all that teamwork was a nice 101-86 win.
O.J. Mayo led the charge here, posting 20 points. Khris Middleton managed 16 points, seven rebounds and four assists of his own.
The Bucks were 11 of 17 from 3-point range, with Mayo accounting for a 4-of-5 mark there.
Grizzlies-Sixers: Zach Randolph was all over the place in Memphis against the Sixers last night. He managed 17 points and 14 rebounds for a double-double in the 101-83 victory. Jeff Green would add 18 more points of his own and Vince Carter posted 13.
Memphis is now 31-12 and has won six of its last seven.
The Grizzlies were off to a 25-point lead at one spot in the second half and the starters were able to rest.
Blazers-Wizards: With LaMarcus Aldridge in the game, the Blazers got a lift and were able to post a 103-96 win over the Wizards in Portland. He managed 26 points and nine rebounds while playing through the pain of his thumb injury.
Damian Lillard also had 20 points and seven assists as Portland broke a two-game losing streak.
For now, Aldridge will take his injury one game at a time; he may opt for surgery down the road if the pain persists.
