The Dallas Mavericks invade the Toyota Center tonight to battle the Houston Rockets.
After coasting through the season and piling up the wins, the Dallas Mavericks finally find themselves coming off a season-worst third straight loss after getting routed by the Grizzlies by 109-90 on Tuesday. Chandler Parsons and Monta Ellis led the team with 19 points each, but no one else had much of a game. Dirk Nowitzki scored just 11 points and no bench player scored more than six points as the Mavs struggled mightily against the Grizzlies' hot shooting and solid defense. With the loss, Dallas falls to 30-16 on the season and 1-4 in their last five games against teams with winning records.

Meanwhile, the Houston Rockets have won three of their last four and will be going for a third straight win after cruising past the Lakers by 99-87 on Sunday. James Harden poured in 37 points on 12 of 20 shooting while Jason Terry and Josh Smith added 11 points each as the Rockets stormed out to an early double digit lead against the Kobe-less Lakers and won easily. With the win, Houston improved to 31-14 overall and 16-7 on the road where they are 5-2 SU in their last seven games.
In ATS trends, the Mavs are 2-6-1 ATS in their last nine games overall and 2-6 ATS in their last eight games playing on zero days rest, while the Rockets are 5-1 ATS in their last six home games and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games overall.
Head to head, the Mavs are 10-4 ATS in the last 14 meetings overall and the Over is 5-1 in the last six meetings in Houston.
This game should have plenty of points but instead of betting on the Over, I'm actually liking a play on the Rockets at home as they've been playing some good basketball and look to have caught the Mavs at a good time.
