The Portland Trailblazers travel to the Philips Arena to battle the Atlanta Hawks tonight.
The Portland Trailblazers have lost six of their last eight games overall and will be particularly disappointed in their latest loss which came by 99-94 against the LeBron-less Cavaliers. LaMarcus Aldridge led the way with 38 points on 13 of 23 shooting but it wasn't enough to make up for Damian Lillard's horrible night of just 14 points on four of 19 shooting. On the defensive end, the Blazers must have thought they caught a real break when LeBron James decided to sit out, but they couldn't find a way to slow down Kyrie Irving who scorched them for 52 points with 11 three pointers. With the loss, Portland drop to 32-14 on the season and 12-9 on the road.

Meanwhile, the Atlanta Hawks extended their win streak to a franchise-best 17 games on Wednesday when they flew past the Nets by 113-102. Paul Millsap shot just five of nine from the field but still managed to rack up 28 points and 15 rebounds while Al Horford added 20 points. Kyle Korver also made five of eight three pointers en route to 17 points as the Hawks' balanced attack was once again on full display. With the win, Atlanta improved to 38-8 on the season and 21-3 at home.
In ATS trends, the Blazers are 6-13 ATS in their last 19 games against a team above .600 and 2-6 ATS in their last eight games overall, while the Hawks are 11-1 ATS in their last 12 games against a team above .600 and 6-2 ATS in their last eight home games.
The Blazers have really been going through a rough patch lately and there's little to suggest that they can go toe to toe with the hottest team in the league, so I'm definitely taking the Hawks to win and cover all the way in this one.
