The Miami Heat and Detroit Pistons play Tuesday night at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
The Miami Heat look to hold onto a playoff spot as they’ve split their last 10 games. On the season, the Heat are averaging 92.4 points on 45.4 percent shooting and are allowing 95.9 points on 45.4 percent shooting. Chris Bosh is averaging 21 points and 7.5 rebounds while Luol Deng is averaging 14.3 points and five rebounds. Mario Chalmers is dishing 4.2 assists and Hassan Whiteside is grabbing 7.7 rebounds. The Miami Heat have really turned things up on the defensive end, as they’re allowing just 41.6 percent shooting from the field in their last five games. The Miami Heat have won eight of their last 12 games SU when allowing less than 100 points. Deng is probable for this game despite a calf injury.

The Detroit Pistons have lost five of their last seven games and are still trying to replace Brandon Jennings. On the season, the Pistons are averaging 97.9 points on 42.5 percent shooting and are allowing 100 points on 45.8 percent shooting. Greg Monroe is averaging 15.3 points and 10.3 rebounds while Andre Drummond is averaging 12.4 points and 12.9 rebounds. D.J. Augustin is dishing 4.5 assists and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is shooting 39.3 percent from the field. The Detroit Pistons are shooting just 41.1 percent from the field in their last five games and have scored 95 or less points in two of their last three games. However, the Pistons are coming off a win over the Houston Rockets in which they shot 50 percent from the field and made 10 threes.
The Heat are 6-0-1 ATS in their last 7 road games and 2-7 ATS in their last 9 vs. NBA Central. The Pistons are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 home games and 14-29 ATS in their last 43 vs. Eastern Conference. The Heat are 10-3-1 ATS in the last 14 meetings in Detroit and the road team is 5-0 ATS in the last 5 meetings.
Not sure how the Pistons are decent sized favorites considering they've fallen off a cliff since the Jennings injury. The Heat should have Deng back in the lineup and Whiteside is really starting to become a star on this team. Take the points here, as this line is a little weird.
