The Memphis Grizzlies look to continue rolling in a winnable home game against the Minnesota Timberwolves

The Memphis Grizzlies have won eight straight games entering this contest, most recently winning back-to-back road games against the Jazz and Suns.  The Grizzlies are in second place in the standings in the highly competitive Western Conference and will need to win every time out against foes like they face here on Friday night. The Grizzlies appear to have upgraded their offense with Jeff Green drawing recent starts, so with the consistent production of Marc Gasol, Zach Randolph and Mike Conley, this team should feast on a Timberwolves defense that ranks last in the NBA allowing 106.6 points per game.  Defensively, the Grizzlies and their top-ranking unit which allows just 96 per game should have no issue clamping down here.

Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Memphis Grizzlies - 2/6/15 NBA Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Minnesota Timberwolves are just 9-40 on the year and really plodding away in an injury-plagued season.  The TWolves enter this game in an unfamiliar spot though coming off a 102-101 win last time out against the Heat.  A significant return from injury actually boosted the team's spirit, as Ricky Rubio came back to start and play 23 minutes, scoring eight points and dishing nine assists while also collecting three rebounds and three steals.  Kevin Martin managed to have a breakout game in the win, scoring 30 points on 11-23 shooting.  The Timberwolves are a dreadful 5-19 at home but the fan base could be more active for this one with Rubio back in action.
The Grizzlies are the far better team here and should dispatch of a disjointed squad.  The Timberwolves might do some nice things offensively but I have no faith in their defense.
