We’re cruising into All-Star weekend in the NBA, and as a result the league is putting the brakes on the schedule. There’s just one game tonight, but more to look forward to as the festivities occur over the next few days. Here’s our daily look at the latest news.

Magic-Knicks: Neither the Magic nor the Knicks will be doing anything this year, but each team has its eyes on the future. The teams played with pride on the line last night, with Orlando coming out on top at home by an 89-83 margin.
Nik Vucevic posted 28 points and 18 rebounds in the victory, with Victor Oladipo adding 19 and Willie Green posting 13. Dewayne Dedmon posted a career-high six blocks in his 20 minutes off the bench.
Jason Smith was the high man for the Knicks on 25 points.

Celtics-Hawks: The Celtics posted a big and very important victory over the Hawks last night, edging Atlanta 89-88 on Evan Turner’s last-second shot. That basket gave the Celtics their only lead of the game, coming with 0.2 seconds remaining.
Jared Sullinger put up 17 points and 15 rebounds for Boston, while Turner added 12 points, nine assists and seven rebounds.
The Celtics have now won four of their last five games.
Al Horford led the way for the Hawks on 22 points and 12 rebounds.

Pistons-Spurs: The Spurs didn’t have a whole lot of trouble with the Pistons in Auburn Hills last night. The defending champs took a victory 104-87 in their final game before the All-Star break.
Danny Green managed 19 points, while Tony Parker had 17. Manu Ginobili put up 13.
Detroit scored just 12 points in the first quarter, setting the stage for the rest of the game. D.J. Augustin led the team with 22 points.

Warriors-Timberwolves: It’s safe to say the Warriors had a pretty darn good first half of basketball this season. They finished things off in style last night against the Timberwolves in Minneapolis, posting a 94-91 win in their final game before the break.
Andre Iguodala and Leandro Barbosa led the B-team in a strong support effort for the starters, combining for 18 key points.
The Warriors are 42-9 in their franchise-record best start.
