The San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Clippers play Thursday at the STAPLES Center.
The San Antonio Spurs look more like the Spurs with wins in seven of their last 10 games. On the season, the Spurs are averaging 100.7 points on 45.4 percent shooting and are allowing 96.7 points on 44.2 percent shooting. Kawhi Leonard is averaging 15.4 points and 7.5 rebounds while Tony Parker is averaging 14.5 points and 4.7 assists. Tim Duncan is grabbing 9.9 rebounds and Manu Ginobili is shooting 41.8 percent from the field. The San Antonio Spurs have allowed 93 or less points in four straight games and have won 14 of their last 15 games when holding a team under 100 points. Although the Spurs have had the All Star break, they’ve been on the road since February 8th and won’t return home until March.

The Los Angeles Clippers hope to get back on track after splitting their last 10 games. On the season, the Clippers are averaging 106.7 points on 47.2 percent shooting and are allowing 100.7 points on 45.2 percent shooting. Chris Paul is averaging 17.7 points and 9.7 assists while Jamal Crawford is averaging 16 points and 2.6 assists. J.J. Redick is shooting 46.8 percent from the field and DeAndre Jordan is grabbing 13.8 rebounds. The Los Angeles Clippers are just trying to stay afloat in the West until Blake Griffin returns from injury. The Clippers, who rely heavily on the three-ball, are shooting just 28.6 percent from downtown in their last five games. The Clips have also won six of their last eight home games SU.
The Spurs are 4-1-2 ATS in their last 7 vs. Western Conference and 2-7-1 ATS in their last 10 games overall. The Clippers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. NBA Southwest and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall. The Spurs are 13-5 ATS in the last 18 meetings in Los Angeles and 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings overall.
The Clippers have been solid on their home court and even without Griffin on the court, I like the up-and-down style to give the Spurs issues. The Clippers actually opened up as a 2.5 point favorite and in a toss up game, I'm going to side with the home team here.
