The Detroit Pistons play host to the Washington Wizards at The Palace this afternoon.
The Washington Wizards have lost seven of their last nine games and will be looking to avoid a third straight loss after getting belted by the Cavaliers by 127-89 on Friday. Nene Hilario and John Wall led the team with 18 points each but no other player even finished in double figures as the Wizards looked completely outmatched by the red-hot Cavs. The Wizards were without Bradley Beal which really limited them on offense because they don't have a single player who can fill in and provided that consistent outside scoring threat. In fact, as a team the Wizards made just one of 16 three-point shots compared to the Cavs' 14 of 33 shooting which explains the margin of defeat. With the loss, Washington drops to 33-22 overall and 20-9 at home.

Meanwhile, the Detroit Pistons have won five of their last eight games and are coming off a bit of a surprising win, beating the Bulls by 100-91 on Friday in their first game since the multi-player trade. Greg Monroe and Caron Butler led the scoring with 20 points apiece while Andre Drummond had a big game of 18 points and 20 rebounds as the Pistons overcame a slow start and took over the game with a dominant 32-15 third quarter ambush. Reggie Jackson didn't suit up for his new team, but is expected to feature tonight against the Wizards.
In ATS trends, the Wizards are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a losing record and 1-6 ATS in their last seven road games, while the Pistons are 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record and 7-2 ATS in their last nine home games.
Head to head, the Wizards are 3-8 ATS in the last 11 meetings in Detroit and 2-7 ATS in the last nine meetings overall.
It's really hard to pick either side with much confidence in this one, but I just get the feeling that the Wizards will be looking to bounce back and get a win after getting trounced in their last outing. Take Washington to win and cover in this one.
