The San Antonio Spurs travel to Salt Lake City to take on the Utah Jazz tonight.
The San Antonio Spurs will be looking to put a halt to a two-game slide tonight after falling to the Clippers and the Warriors on consecutive nights. In Friday's 110-99 loss at Golden State, Kawhi Leonard and Aron Baynes scored 12 points each while Boris Diaw added 11, but no other player finished in double digits as the Spurs were completely outplayed by the Warriors from the second quarter onwards. For whatever reason, the Spurs have yet to really find their groove this season, but you just get the feeling that they'll figure it out and get into rhythm come playoff time. With the loss, San Antonio drop to 34-21 on the season and 14-14 on the road.

Meanwhile, the Utah Jazz have really found a bit of form lately, winning three of their last four including a 92-76 demolition of the Blazers in their last outing. In Friday's win, Gordon Hayward scored a team-high 20 points, Trey Burke added 19 points and Derrick Favors had 16 as the Jazz overcame a slow start to put away the Blazers thanks to a dominant 53-33 second half effort. Defense was the key to this win, as the Jazz held the Blazers to 36.1 percent shooting while forcing them to make just four of 22 from the three-point line. With the win, Utah improves to 20-34 on the season.
In ATS trends, the Spurs are 2-9-1 ATS in their last 12 games overall and 1-5 ATS in their last six road games, while the Jazz are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four games overall and 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games following a win.
Head to head, the Spurs are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings in Utah and the Under is 6-1 in the last seven meetings.
The Jazz are definitely the team in better form in this matchup, but I just can't resist taking the Spurs to cover the small spread in this one, even though the ATS trends are suggesting a play on the Jazz at home.
