The Philadelphia 76ers pay a visit to the Milwaukee Bucks tonight at the Bradley Center.
The Philadelphia 76ers will be looking to arrest a four-game slide tonight after getting thumped by the Heat by 119-108 on Monday. Hollis Thompson hit six threes en route to 22 points off the bench, Nerlens Noel added 18 points and Robert Covington added 16 points but the Sixers still couldn't match the Heat's scoring in the second half, allowing them to finish with a season-high 119 points. With the loss, Philadelphia drops to 12-44 on the season and 5-24 on the road where they've lost their last 10 outings.
Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks are coming off a second straight loss, falling to the Bulls by 87-71 on Monday for their lowest scoring output of the season. Khris Middleton led the scoring with 17 points, Ersan Ilyasove added 15 points and Giannis Antetokounmpo added 11 but no other Bucks player finished in double figures as the team shot a miserable 33.7 percent from the field. Defensively, the Bucks did a nice job of holding the Bulls to 35.5 percent shooting, but they really got dominated on the boards, getting outrebounded by 62-41. With the loss, Milwaukee dropped to 31-25 on the season and 15-14 on the road.
In ATS trends, the 76ers are 4-0 ATS in their last four games following a loss of more than 10 points and 8-2-1 ATS in their last 11 games overall, while the Bucks are 1-5 ATS in their last six home games and 0-4 ATS in their last four games overall.
Head to head, the 76ers are 0-4 ATS in the last four meetings and 2-6 ATS in the last eight meetings in Milwaukee.
The Bucks are obviously the much better team in this one, but it's hard to lay so many points against a 76ers team that has been so good at covering the spread lately. This certainly isn't a game I'll be putting own money on, but I actually think the 76ers with the points is the right play here.
