The Los Angeles Clippers and the Memphis Grizzlies duke it out for the second time this week.
The Memphis Grizzlies have already beaten the Los Angeles Clippers twice this season, including a 90-87 thriller back on Monday. Marc Gasol had 14 points, Jeff Green added 16 points while Mike Conley led the way with 18 points, seven assists and a key steal and layup late in the game to seal the win. All in all, it was a solid win for the Grizzlies who were able to slow the game down in the second half and really play their style of basketball. Since beating the Clippers, the Grizzlies went on to lose to the Kings by 102-90 in a physical match. Zach Randolph had a game of 20 points while Marc Gasol added 14 points, but the Kings clearly wanted this game more and were able to take over in a 26-13 fourth quarter. With the loss, Memphis dropped to 41-15 which leaves them just 2.5 games clear of Houston who are currently in third place in the Western standings.

Meanwhile, the Clippers followed up their narrow loss to the Grizzlies with a narrow loss to the Rockets on Wednesday. Jamal Crawford shot 10 of 17 to lead the team with 24 points, Chris Paul added 22 points and 14 assists and DeAndre Jordan added 22 points and 19 rebounds, but the Clippers just got ambushed in the fourth quarter as the Rockets turned the game on a 15-1 run. With the loss, Los Angeles drops to 37-21 overall and 14-13 on the road.
In ATS trends, the Clippers are 1-4 ATS in their last five games following a loss and 1-5 ATS in their last six road games, while the Grizzlies are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four games following a loss and 7-3-2 ATS in their last 12 home games.
Head to head, the Clippers are 1-5 ATS in the last six meetings in Memphis and 1-9 ATS in the last 10 meetings overall.
With Blake Griffin still out for the Clippers, I can't see anything but another narrow loss for the Clippers against the pesky defense of the Grizzlies.
