The Washington Wizards travel to Wells Fargo Center to battle the Philadelphia 76ers tonight.
The Washington Wizards will be desperate to put a halt to their season-worst five-game skid tonight after getting crushed by the Timberwolves by 97-77 on Wednesday. Otto Porter Jr. led the scoring with 13 points while Nene added 12, but for the most part, the Wizards were just plain terrible after leading by 20-11 after the first quarter. John Wall had been the lone bright spot for the Wizards during the losing streak but he was kept silent in this one, scoring just five points on two of 10 shooting to go with his 10 assists which really hurt the team because Paul Pierce missed the game with a brusied right knee, leaving the Wizards really low on scoring weapons. With the loss, Washington dropped to 33-25 on the season and 13-15 on the road.

Meanwhile, the Philadelphia 76ers have very much been in the same boat as the Wizards, losing their last five straight after getting pummelled by the Bucks in a 104-88 loss on Wednesday. Jason Richardson led the team with 16 points while Robert Covington added 13 points but this game got out of hand early as the 76ers fell behind by 61-32 at halftime before some late garbage buckets kept the score more respectable. With yeh another loss, Philadelphia remains in prime position for another top pick in the lottery race, falling to 12-45 on the season and 2-8 in their last 10 games overall.
In ATS trends, the Wizards rae 5-15-1 ATS in their last 21 games following a loss and 1-8 ATS in their last nine road games, while the 76ers are 6-1 ATS in their last seven home games and 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 games overall.
Looking at the ATS trends, it looks like a no-brainer to take the 76ers with the points, but I just get the feeling that the Wizards will be desperate to get out of their slump so they might just be up for this one.
