The Miami Heat travel to the nation's capital to take on the Washington Wizards on Friday night.
The Miami Heat have won six of their last 10 overall and will be looking for a third straight win after taking down the Lakers by 100-94 on Wednesday. Dwyane Wade made a living at the free-throw line and led the way with 25 points, Goran Dragic added 21 points and Hassan Whiteside added 18 points and career-high 25 rebounds as the Heat rallied in the second half to take down the Lakers. Whiteside has been on an absolute tear lately, averaging 16.3 points and 19.7 rebounds in his last three games which is really good news for the Heat especially because Dragic is coming off his second straight 21-point game.

Meanwhile, the Washington Wizards have lost 12 of their last 15 games overall and are coming off a 97-92 loss to the shorthanded Bulls. John Wall led the way with 21 points and 11 assists while Paul Pierce added 16 points, but Bradley Beal's shooting woes continued as he scored 13 points but shot just six of 18 from the field, including zero of five from the three-point line. With the loss, Washington falls to 34-27 overall which is currently good enough for fifth place in the Eastern Conference.
In ATS trends, the Heat are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games and 1-4-2 ATS in their last seven games overall, while the Wizards are 2-6 ATS in their last eight home games and 5-17 ATS in their last 22 games overall.
Head to head, the Heat are 18-7-1 ATS in the last 26 meetings in Washington but the home team is 6-0 ATS in the last six meetings overall.
The Heat haven't exactly been setting the world on fire, but they're definitely getting better with each game which can't be said for the Wizards who have been struggling for so long now. Therefore, I'm going with the Heat to win this one, but let's take the points just to be safer.
