The Phoenix Suns invade the Quicken Loans Arena to battle the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight.
The Phoenix Suns will be going for a third straight win tonight after taking down the Nets in a 108-100 overtime thriller last night. In a balanced scoring effort, Markieff Morris, Marcus Morris and Eric Bledsoe all finished with 19 points each while Brandon Knight added 12 points and seven assists, but as a team, the Suns shot an uncharacteristic three of 26 from the three-point line. Fortunately, they were able to turn on their defense just in time and it was quite impressive as they held the Nets to just 12 points in the fourth quarter, while forcing the Nets to miss 14 of their last 17 shots to close out the game. With the win, Phoenix improved to 33-30 on the season and 16-17 on the road.

Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers were unable to claim a third straight win last night, falling to the Hawks by 106-97 in a battle of the Eastern Conference best teams. Kyrie Irving had 20 points while Kevin Love added 14, but LeBron James was held to just 18 points with nine turnovers as the Cavs really struggled against the disruptive Hawks defense. Of course, James will be downplaying the loss and he'll be saying that it's just a regular season game, but the Cavs really did get exposed a little. However, despite the loss, the Cavs are still 39-25 on the season and it's only a matter of time before they claim the second seed in the Eastern Conference come playoffs time.
In ATS trends, the Suns are 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 road games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games playing on zero days rest, while the Cavs are 11-1 ATS in their last 12 home games and 18-6 ATS in their last 24 games overall.
Head to head, the Suns are 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings in Cleveland but the favorite is 14-6 ATS in the last 20 meetings overall.
I'm so tempted to just take the Cavs to win and cover at home where they've been money lately, but the Suns should be able to keep this game to 10 points after what I saw from their win last night.
