NBA Player Updates 3/8: The Latest News from Around the League, Tonight's TV Schedule and More

We’re in the midst of a pretty busy stretch of NBA action right now, and that will be continuing tonight with seven more games on the schedule. While we’re waiting on those tip-offs, let’s check out some of the notable names in the news this morning.
Cavs-Suns: LeBron James had another notable night in Cleveland against the Suns. He posted eight assists, tying the Cavaliers’ career record, on the way to an 89-79 win over Phoenix. James also had 17 points.
It was the Cavs’ fourth game in five nights
Helping out were Timofey Mozgov (team-high 19 points), Tristan Thompson (15 points; 12 rebounds) and Kevin Love (13 points; 10 rebounds).

Kings-Heat: The Heat are getting used to making huge comebacks. They were down by 16 points last night against the Kings and were able to rally to take the game in OT 114-109.
Dwyane Wade posted 28 points and Tyler Johnson had 24--including a huge 3-pointer with under a minute left.
Miami is back in the No. 8 slot in the East playoff picture.
Knicks-Pacers: Indianapolis and New York clashed again last night, this time at the Garden. This one was close, with the Pacers coming out on top 92-86. The Knicks scored just two field goals in the last five minutes.
Rodney Stuckey was the big offensive contributor here with 17 points. George Hill made a big 3-pointer that tied it with 2 ½ minutes left.
Timberwolves-Blazers: Portland is having a rough time without Wesley Matthews, and it showed last night against the Timberwolves in Minneapolis. Kevin Martin put up 29 points and Ricky Rubio added a big 3-pointer late en route to a 121-113 T-Wolves victory.
Minnesota’s shooting guards had it going last night; in addition to Martin’s big night, Gary Neal went 8-of-11 for 27 bench points.
