LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers take on the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday night.
The Cleveland Cavaliers have won three of their last four and are coming off a dominant 89-79 victory over the Suns thanks to some strong defense and balanced scoring. Timofey Mozgov actually led the team in scoring with 19 points on six of eight shooting, LeBron James had 17 points and eight assists while Kevin Love added 13 points and 10 rebounds as the Cavs dominated the Suns and led by as many as 32 points in the third quarter before winning by 10. Coming off a disappointing loss to the Hawks, the Cavs played three quarters of their best defense of the season, holding the Suns to just 52 points and 28.7 percent shooting before consolation baskets in the fourth quarter kept the final score respectable. With the win, Cleveland improved to 40-25 on the season which lifts them half a game clear of Chicago who currently occupy the third spot in the East.

Meanwhile, the Dallas Mavericks will be the first team to admit that they haven't been playing their best basketball lately, but they will be a little relieved after they were able to avoid a third straight loss with a 100-93 win over the Lakers on Sunday. In a game that shouldn't have been that close at all, the Mavs relied heavily on Monta Ellis who scored 18 of his 31 points in the third quarter to keep the team close before some solid defense held the Lakers to just 16 points in the fourth quarter. Al-Farouq Aminu added 13 points and Dirk Nowitzki had 12 points but this game really was on Ellis' shoulders and he delivered. With the win, Dallas remain in sixth place in the Western standings, only half a game ahead of San Antonio.
In ATS trends, the Cavs are 14-6 ATS in their last 20 games following a win and 18-8 ATS in their last 26 games overall, while the Mavs are 4-1-1 ATS in their last six home games and 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall.
Head to head, the Cavs are 0-5 ATS in the last five meetings overall but the favorite is 4-0 ATS in the last four meeitngs.
The Mavs really need a marquee just to build their confidence because they just haven't been playing their best basketball lately but I don't think that'll come against the Cavs tonight. I just can't go past Cleveland in the form they've been in lately.
