The Orlando Magic and the Milwaukee Bucks meet tonight at the Harris Bradley Center.
The Orlando Magic were going for a third straight win last night, but ran into the red-hot Pacers and got absolutely blown out of the water in an 118-86 rout. Tobias Harris led the team in scoring with 22 points but didn't receive enough support as Victor Oladipo and Nikola Vucevic added just 13 points each. As a team, the Magic shot just 37 percent while allowing the Pacers to shoot 52.9 percent from the field, including a sizzling 17 of 34 from the three-point line. Orlando has now lost five of their last seven games to fall to 21-44 on the season and 10-23 on the road.
Meanwhile, the Miluwakee Bucks have lost seven of their last nine overall and were beaten by the Pelicans by 114-103 in their latest outing on Monday. Giannis Antetokuonmpo had a big night of 29 points on 11 of 16 shooting while Michael Carter-Williams added 25 points and seven assists, but the Bucks just couldn't find a way to stop the Pelicans who were fuelled by a career-high 43 points from Anthony Davis. On defense, the Bucks are actually ranked fifth in the league, allowing just 96.7 points per game, but there was just no way of slowing down the Pelicans' Davis who just dominated. With the loss, Milwaukee drops to 33-30 on the season which is currently good enough for sixth place in the Eastern standings.
In ATS trends, the Magic are 4-1 ATS in their last five road games and 9-4-1 ATS in their last 14 games overall, while the Bucks are 4-11 ATS in their last 15 games overall and 1-5 ATS in their last six games against a team with a losing record.
Head to head, the Magic are 9-4 ATS in the last 13 meetings overall and the Home team is 4-1 ATS in the last five.
The Bucks should be good enough to win this one at home, but the Magic were actually playing decent basketball before getting blitzed by an in-form team in their last outing, so I prefer the visitors with the points in this one.
