The Orlando Magic and Boston Celtics square off late Friday night at the TD Garden.
The Orlando Magic look for a win after losing six of their last eight games. On the season, the Magic are averaging 95.7 points on 45.4 percent shooting and are allowing 101.4 points on 46.5 percent shooting. Nikola Vucevic is averaging 19.6 points and 11.2 rebounds while Victor Oladipo is averaging 17.4 points and four assists. Tobias Harris is grabbing 6.3 rebounds and Elfrid Payton is dishing 5.9 assists. The Orlando Magic have lost nine straight road games after getting on such a fast start away from home. The Magic’s lack of defense has hurt them lately, as they’ve lost 12 of their last 13 games SU when allowing 100 or more points. Evan Fournier and Willie Green are both questionable with injuries.
USA TODAY Sports
The Boston Celtics look to stay hot after winning four of their last five games. On the season, the Celtics are averaging 100.8 points on 44 percent shooting and are allowing 102 points on 45.1 percent shooting. Avery Bradley is averaging 13.9 points and 1.6 assists while Kelly Olynyk is averaging 10.6 points and 5.1 rebounds. Brandon Bass is grabbing 4.8 rebounds and Tyler Zeller is shooting 53.8 percent from the field. The Boston Celtics are winning games despite shooting just 42.1 percent from the field in their last five games. And don’t look now, but the Celtics are just 1.5 games out of a last playoff spot in the East standings. Isaiah Thomas is expected to miss this game with a back injury.
The Magic are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 road games and 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11 games playing on 1 days rest. The Celtics are 7-0-1 ATS in their last 8 home games and 18-7-1 ATS in their last 26 games overall. The Magic are 0-4 ATS in the last 4 meetings in Boston and 4-10-1 ATS in the last 15 meetings overall.
Without Thomas on the court, I'll take the Magic and the points. Not like either of these teams are worth any chalk.
