The Miami Heat play host to the Denver Nuggets tonight at the American Airlines Arena.
The Denver Nuggets have won six of their last 10 but are coming off a second straight loss, falling to the Rockets by 118-108 on Thursday. Randy Foye and Wilson Chandler led the Nuggets with 23 points each while Kenneth Faried added 19 points, but this game was all about the Rockets' James Harden who put on a clinic and exploded for a career-high 50 points to put the Nuggets in a 65-49 hole at halftime before things got a little closer in garbage time. With the loss, Denver drops to 26-43 overall and 10-24 on the road where they've lost three of their last four.

Meanwhille, the Miami Heat have won six of their last nine and are gunning for a third straight win after taking down the Trailblazers by 108-104 on Wednesday. Dwyane Wade had a big game of 32 points on 13 of 26 shooting, Luol Deng scored 24 points on nine of 13 shooting while Goran Dragic added 20 points and 11 assists as the Heat came back from an early 11-point deficit to stun the Blazers. Coming off a big win over the Cavaliers, you would forgive them for having a bit of a letdown performance but instead, Wade turned back the clock and put on one of his best games of the season. With the win, Miami improved to 31-36 which puts them one game clear of Boston and Indiana who are currently tied for eighth in the Eastern Conference.
In ATS trends, the Nuggets are 5-1 ATS in their last six games overall and 4-1 ATS in their last five road games, while the Heat are 4-1 ATS in their last five home games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall.
Head to head, the Nuggets are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings in Miami and 15-5-1 ATS in the last 21 meetings overall.
The Heat really look to be on a roll now, so I'm definitely favoring them over the inconsistent Nuggets on the road here.
