NBA Player Updates 3/30: The Latest News from Around the League, Tonight's TV Schedule and More
March 30, 2015
Our busy NBA schedule continues today with seven more games on the schedule. While we’re waiting on the tip-offs tonight, let’s check out some of the news items in the headlines this morning. Here’s the latest.
Wizards-Rockets: The Wizards are in quite a slump right now, and last night’s game against the Rockets didn’t do much to help.
Washington lost 99-91 to Houston, their fifth loss in the last six outings. James Harden was once again excellent, posting 24 points. Dwight Howard also managed 11 points and 10 rebounds in just 19 minutes of action.
The Wizards shot just 29.2 percent in the first quarter and 38.7 percent for the game as a whole.

Nets-Lakers: The Nets are putting up a valiant effort in their push for a playoff spot, and that trend continued last night against the Lakers in Brooklyn. L.A. fell 107-99 with Brook Lopez shining for 30 points and 11 rebounds. Joe Johnson also tallied 18 points and eight rebounds of his own.
Brooklyn has won five of their last six games and has a legitimate shot at making the playoffs for the third straight year.
Pelicans-Timberwolves: Anthony Davis was all over the court last night against the flailing Timberwolves, posting 28 points and nine rebounds in 37 minutes of action. He sat down in the latter stages of the 110-88 win in New Orleans watching the reserves clean things up.
Six of the Pelicans’ last nine games are on the road. So far this year, they’ve gone 14-21 away from home.
Cavaliers-Sixers: All those who penciled this one in as an easy Cavs victory were shocked to see the final score as a close 87-86 Cleveland win.
LeBron James manages 20 points here, a victory which gets Cleveland 2 ½ games ahead of Chicago for second place in the East.
The Cavs are 29-7 since January 13, which is remarkable considering the fact that they were 19-20 at one point in the season.
