The Houston Rockets invade the Air Canada Centre to battle the Toronto Raptors tonight.
The Houston Rockets have won seven of their last eight and will be going for a fifth straight win tonight after cruising past the Wizards in a 99-91 win yesterday afternoon. James Harden led the scoring with 24 points and six assists while Josh Smith added 14 points and 10 rebounds but for me, the biggest impact plays of the game came from Corey Brewer who scored 15 points off the bench and looked to be playing in fast forward compared to everyone else. With the solid win, Houston improved to 50-23 overall which has them leapfrogging Memphis for the second spot in the Western Conference standings.

Meanwhile, the Toronto Raptors haven't quite been playing nearly as good, but will be breathing a little sigh of relief after snapping their two-game skid with a 94-83 win over the Lakers on Friday. Jonas Valanciunas led the scoring with 19 points, Louis Williams added 18 points while James Johnson had 17 as the Raptors made light work of the Lakers. Kyle Lowry sat for the fourth time in five games with a sore back and coach Casey said there is no timetable for Lowry's return. With the win, Toronto improves to 43-30 overall which has them just 1 1/2 games behind the third-placed Chicago.
In ATS trends, the Rockets are 4-0 ATS in their last four road games and 6-2 ATS in their last eight games overall, while the Raptors are 6-13 ATS in the last 19 games overall and 0-6 ATS in their last six games following a win.
Head to head, the Rockets are 2-6-1 ATS in the last nine meetings overall and 1-10 ATS in the last 11 meetings in Toronto.
I know all the ATS trends are heavily in favor of the Raptors to cover in this one, but the Rockets looked very good last night and should be able to get past a stumbling Raptors team missing its best player.
