The Charlotte Hornets look for a win after losing four of their last five games. On the season, the Hornets are averaging 95.1 points on 42.4 percent shooting and are allowing 97.4 points on 44 percent shooting. Mo Williams is averaging 18.9 points and 6.6 assists while Kemba Walker is averaging 18.1 points and 5.3 assists. Al Jefferson is grabbing 8.5 rebounds and Gerald Henderson is dishing 2.7 assists. The Charlotte Hornets need this win if they’re going to get back into the playoff race. In order to do that, their offense must improve, as the Hornets are shooting just 41.3 percent from the field in their last five games. The Hornets have lost six straight when scoring less than 100 points. Cody Zeller is questionable with a shoulder injury.
The Pistons are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games playing on 0 days rest and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 vs. NBA Southeast. The Hornets are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 home games and 23-11-1 ATS in their last 35 vs. NBA Central. The Pistons are 8-1 ATS in the last 9 meetings in Charlotte and 1-4 ATS in the last 5 meetings overall.
Although the Pistons are on a roll as of late, this is pretty much a must-win game for the Hornets. When you add in the day of rest, I like Charlotte and the reasonable chalk.
