The battle of the boroughs resume tonight as the Brooklyn Nets take on the New York Knicks.
The New York Knicks have lost seven straight and are coming off a 111-80 beatdown at the hands of the Bulls. Andrea Bargnani scored 14 points while Langston Galloway added 12 points but the Knicks were always going to struggle against the Bulls, falling behind by 20 points at the half. With the loss, New York drop to a franchise-worst 14-60 on the season which, on the bright side, gives them their best chance at landing the number one pick in the upcoming lottery.

Meanwhile, the Brooklyn Nets have shown no intentions of entering the lottery draft this season, winning eight of their last 10 including their last four straight. In Tuesday's 111-106 win over the Pacers, Brook Lopez continued his strong form with 24 points, Joe Johnson added 21 points and Alan Anderson had 20 points off the bench as the Nets escaped with the win after having an early 19-point lead disappear in a whirlwind of a first half. In the end, the Nets were able to improve to 33-40 on the season which leaves them in eighth place in the Eastern Conference, just half a game behind Miami and half a game ahead of Boston.
In ATS trends, the Nets are 4-0-1 ATS in their last five games against a team below .400 and 3-1-2 ATS in their last six games overall, while the Knicks are 1-6 ATS in their last seven games overall and 0-3-1 ATS in their last four Wednesday games.
Head to head, the road team is 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings and the favorite is 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings.
These Nets V Knicks games are always fun to watch, but I'd be surprised if this game is close at all because the Knicks have just been hard to watch all season while the Nets have been playing their best basketball all season.
