The Chicago Bulls play host to the Detroit Pistons at the United Center on Saturday.
The Chicago Bulls will be looking for a win after they had their three-game win streak snapped by the Bucks in a 95-91 loss on Wednesday. Jimmy Butler had himself a nice game of 25 points while Pau Gasol added 14 points, 11 rebounds and four assists, but the Bulls were actually quite poor overall, shooting just 41.9 percent from the field as a team, 24 for 37 from the free throw line while committing 20 turnovers. With the disappointing loss, Chicago fall back to fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings, level with the Raptors with a record of 45-30.
Meanwhile, the Detroit Pistons have have won five of their last seven overall but are coming off a 102-78 beatdown at the hands of the Hornets. Jodie Meeks had 15 points off thebench while Andre Dummond added 13 points, but as far as scoring contributions go, it ended there as the Pistons stayed right with the Hornets in the first half but then fell to pieces in the fourth quarter where they were outscored by 29-16. With the loss, Detroit fell to 29-46 overall and 13-25 on the road.
In ATS trends, the Pistons are 4-0 ATS in their last four games following a loss and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall, while the Bulls are 4-0 ATS in their last four home games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall.
Head to head, the Pistons are 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings overall and 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings in Chicago.
The Pistons have been playing some of their best basketball of the season lately and will be looking to atone for their big loss in their last outing, but the Bulls just have too much at stake to take this game lightly. I'm taking the Bulls to get on top early and win this one by double digits.
