Lance Stephenson meets his former team as the Charlotte Hornets take on the Indiana Pacers on Saturday.

The Charlotte Hornets have lost seven of their last 10 games but you wouldn't know they've been struggling if you saw how they played in Wednesday's 102-78 rout of the Pistons. Marvin Williams led hte way with 18 points while Kemba Walker added 17 points but it was on the defensive end where the Hornets looked particularly good, holding the Pistons to just 35.2 percent shooting and 33 points in the second half. With the win, Charlotte improved to 32-42 on the season, 18-20 at home and 15-3 when holding their opponent to 90 points or less.

Meanwhile, the Indiana Pacers have won just two of their last 11 games and are coming off a disappointing 100-87 loss at Boston, a game that they needed to win to stay in the playoff race. George Hill continued his strong form with 21 points on nine of 11 shooting while Rodney Stuckey added 16 points off the bench, but the Pacers fell behind by 18 points early on and could never get over the hump despite cutting the deficit to six points twice. With the loss, Indiana drops to two games behind Boston and 2 1/2 games behind the Heat and the Nets for the last spot in the Eastern Conference.

In ATS trends, the Hornets are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a losing record and 0-4 ATS in their last four games following a win, while the Pacers are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games overall and 1-5 ATS in their last six home games.

Head to head, the Hornets are 4-0-1 ATS in the last five meetings overall and the under is 5-1 in the last six meetings in Indiana.

The early money has been on the Pacers to win and cover at home and I have to agree with that because while the Pacers haven't been in form lately, this is one that they simply have to win if they want to stay in the playoff hunt.
