The Line: Atlanta Hawks -9 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Phoenix Suns travel to Phillips Arena to match up with Southeast conference leader the Atlanta Hawks.
It looks as if the Phoenix Suns are playing out the string with the end of the regular season fast approaching. The Suns have been a score first squad but have not been lighting up the scoreboard the last few weeks. Phoenix did snap a five game slide with an 87-85 victory against Utah on Saturday in a mistake filled contest that saw the teams combine for 34 turnovers. The defense was the star of this one with the Jazz held to 39% from the floor while the Suns connected at 43.5% which was good for an extra basket. Gerald Green saved the offense with a game high 24 points on 10-17 from the floor followed by Eric Bledsoe with 16 points and five assists. Brandon Wright netted 14 points while Markieff Morris and PJ Tucker with a combined 19 points and 16 rebounds.

It’s been feast or famine of the Atlanta Hawks over their last ten contests where they have gone 5-5 and have either won easily or have lost big. The important thing to note is it doesn’t matter as the Hawks have wrapped up the Southeast conference weeks ago. The Hawks routed Brooklyn 131-99 on Saturday despite losing leading scorer Paul Milsap to a shoulder injury after scoring just eight points. The Nets had no issue scoring the basketball at 49% from the floor but that didn’t compare to Atlanta’s nearly 59% marksmanship. Al Horford and DeMarre Carroll pumped in 20 points apiece with Carroll snagging eight boards and posting five helpers while Jeff Teague added 17 points and eight assists. Thabo Sefolosha and Kent Bazemore added 12 and eleven points while Kyle Korver and Shelvin Mack netted ten points each.
For Phoenix the under is 9-1 in Sunday’s last 10 games following a ATS win and is 7-1 in Suns last 8 games following a S.U. win while the Suns are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 road games. The Hawks are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 home games vs. a team with a losing road record while the over is 13-1 in Hawks last 14 games after scoring more than 125 points in their previous game with Atlanta going 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games following a ATS win. Head to head the Suns are 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings in Atlanta and 9-3 ATS in the last 12 meetings while the under is 5-2 in the last 7 meetings in Atlanta. No line out with Milsap definitely out but I still see this as a 7-9 points spread but neither team looks inviting with zero at stake…
