The Chicago Bulls travel to the AmericanAirlines Arena to battle the Miami Heat tonight.
The Chicago Bulls welcomed back Derrick Rose into the starting lineup last night, but it didn't help them as the Bulls lost their third in four games, falling to the Magic by 105-103. Jimmy Butler had a nice game of 19 points and six assists while Pau Gasol, Taj Gibson and Nikola Mirotic all chipped in with 15 points apiece, but it still wasn't enough as the Bulls fell to the Magic on a Victor Oladipo layup with 6 seconds left in the game. Disappointingly, the loss drops the Bulls back to fourth place behind the Raptors with a record of 46-32 which would see them match up with the Wizards in the first round. On the bright side, it was a real positive for the Bulls just to have Rose back in uniform for the first time since Feb. 23.

Meanwhile, the Miami Heat will just be looking to get into the playoffs and they were able to take a step closer with a 105-100 win over the Hornets on Tuesday. Goran Dragic led the way with 28 points, 11 of which came in the fourth quarter while Luol Deng and Dwayne Wade added 21 and 19 points respectively as the Heat drew to within one game of the Nets and Celtics with just four games left to play. Overall, the Heat have actually been on a major slump recently with just three wins in their last 10 games.
In ATS trends, the Bulls are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 road games and 0-5 ATS in their last five games playing on zero days rest, while the Heat are 0-5 ATS in their last five games overall and 0-4 ATS in their last four games against a team with a winning record.
The Bulls and the Heat have split two meetings this season with the Heat claiming a 96-84 win back on Jan. 25 at the United Center and the result of this game has such heavy playoff implications for both teams that I can't really split them. Instead, I'm going to take the Under on the total as the scores have stayed below the line for the last four meetings and you just know that defense will be the number one priority here.
