The Washington Wizards and the Atlanta Hawks duke it out tonight in the nation's capital.
The Washington Wizards have won five of their last seven overall, but will be looking to bounce back from a 117-80 loss to the Nets on Friday. Bradley Beal led the scoring with 24 points on 10 of 19 shooting while Marcin Gortat had 21 points and 16 rebounds, but with John Wall rested for the game, the Wizards were always going to struggle against the Nets who have been one of the form teams in the Eastern Conference. With the loss, Washington falls to 45-34 on the season which just about locks them in for the fifth seed, giving them a first round matchup with either the Raptors or the Bulls.

Meanwhile, the Atlanta Hawks have been comfortably locked into the first seed in the East for a while now, but that hasn't slowed them down as they come into this game looking for a fifth straight win. On Friday, Mike Muscala led the way with 17 points on eight of nine shooting while Kyle Korver added 16 points as the Hawks dominated the second half by 57-32 to beat the Hornets by 104-80 and improve to 60-19 on the season. Paul Millsap was once again out for the Hawks in this game and probably will probably be rested until the playoffs.
In ATS trends, the Hawks are 22-7 ATS in their last 29 games against a team with a winning record and 42-20-1 ATS in their last 63 games overall.
Head to head, the Hawks are 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings overall and the over is 6-1 in the last seven meetings.
Be sure to double check the starting lineups before tipoff, but Wall is expected to play tonight which is a big relief for Wizards fans. However, whether he plays or not, I still think the Hawks are the safer play in this one despite it meaning nothing to them.
