The New York Knicks invade Phillips Arena to take the hardwood with the playoff bound Atlanta Hawks.
It’s probably beating a dead horse when I say the New York Knicks are where they are because they have generally struggled to score and defend. With the end of the season soon upon us the Knicks picked up a rare win with an 80-79 victory at Orlando. This one was all about great defense or poor shooting with the Magic held to less then 36% accuracy while the Knicks connected at 37.8% with both teams hitting threes at a 12-42 pace. Cole Aldrich paced the New York attack with 19 points and a game high 14 rebounds on 8-15 from the floor. Tim Hardaway Jr. and Jason Smith netted 13 points apiece with Smith posting seven boards and six helpers while Lou Amundson added eleven points and six pulls.
