The Detroit Pistons travel to Madison Square Garden to take on the New York Knicks on Wednesday.
The Detroit Pistons have lost five of their last seven games but will be eager to cap off their season with a win after falling short to the Cavaliers in a 109-97 loss on Monday. Andre Drummond had a nice game of 20 points on 10 of 13 shooting, Caron Butler added 19 poitns while Reggie Jackson added 18 points, but this one was over before it began as the Pistons fell behind by 36-14 after the first quarter. Interestingly, as poor as the Pistons have been lately, this game is actually an intriguing fixture as all eyes will be on Greg Monroe who is expected to be targeted by the Knicks in the offseason to become a key figure in the triangle offense.

Speaking of triangle offense, I'm not sure we saw much of that on Monday, but no one was complaining as the Knicks pulled off the big upset and beat the Hawks by 112-108. Langston Galloway led the way with an efficient 26 points on 10 of 12 shooting, Tim Hardaway Jr. added 23 points and Jason Smith added 20 as the Knicks shot 55.8 percent from the field against one of the elite defensive teams in the league. Despite the win, the Knicks are still a league-worst 17-64 on the season, but this win just gave Knicks fans a glimpse of how good this team can become.
In ATS trends, the Pistons are 9-0 ATS in their last nine games following a loss of more than 10 points and 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games overall, while the Knicks are 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven games overall and 1-4 ATS in their last five games following a win.
Head to head, the Pistons are 7-20 ATS in the last 27 meetings overall and 4-18 ATS in the last 22 meetings in New York.
You really couldn't put your money on either team and feel too confident about it, but I'm actually feeling pretty good about the Knicks in this one, especially after they stunned the best team in the Eastern Conference just a couple nights ago.
