Career Stats: 9.3 ppg, five rpg, 0.8 assists and 1.1 steals
Strengths: Kelly Oubre is a terrific athlete who runs in the floor well and is deadly in transition. Oubre can jump out of the gym and can get to the rim easily. Oubre finishes strong and looks for contact. Oubre has NBA range and made nearly 36 percent from downtown on 95 attempts. Oubre uses his great length to deflect passes and be an above-average rebounder offensively. Oubre shot 71.8 percent from the free throw line. Kelly Oubre likes to be coached and takes criticism well. Oubre is a good kid and has no off-the-court issues to worry about. Oubre won’t be 20 years old until December.
Weaknesses: Kelly Oubre needs to bulk up a bit to be more effective in the paint. Oubre can lose focus at times and picks up silly fouls. Oubre takes plays off on the defensive end. Oubre needs to develop better ball handling. Oubre needs to improve his touch on his shot and overall consistency offensively.
Projection: Kelly Oubre has all-star potential once he polishes his game a bit on both ends. Oubre can be a go-to guy on the offensive end and has flashed more than enough defensively to become a really solid two-way player. Look for Oubre to be drafted in the first round and be a key contributor from day one.
