The NBA Playoffs will be continuing today as we get a couple of second-round matchups going. While we’re waiting on this afternoon’s tip-offs, let’s check out some of the notable players and situations out there right now.
Clippers-Spurs: After a hard-fought seven-game series, the Clippers are moving on to the second round of the NBA Playoffs.
L.A. won Game 7 in dramatic fashion, logging a 111-109 result on a Chris Paul bankshot over Tim Duncan with just one second left. Paul had 27 points overall. Blake Griffin also had a big game with a triple-double on 24 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists.
The Clippers will face the Rockets in Round 2.

The Bulls’ Joakim Noah is dealing with an illness right now, which could affect his play during the second-round series which starts tomorrow. The good news is that Noah was able to practice most of yesterday’s session and should be able to play against Cleveland starting in Game 1.
The Wizards’ John Wall is dealing with a strained shoulder, believe it or not. The issue was troubling him throughout the Toronto series, and we may see it creeping in during this second-round tilt against Atlanta.
Even with the injury, Wall averaged 19.6 PPG and 14.0 APG in the Raptors series.
Yesterday, we learned that there’s no chance the Rockets’ Patrick Beverley will be able to return this postseason.
The team had been holding out hope that he’d be able to come back from his wrist surgery if the team reached the NBA Finals, but it looks like that’s not possible now.
