Strengths: Devin Booker has great height for his position and a 6’8” wingspan. Booker is a terrific shooter, especially from deep where he made 41.1 percent. Booker is deadly when his feet are set and isn’t afraid of the big shot. Booker moves well without the ball and spaces the floor well. Booker does a nice job of finishing at the rim and drawing contact when he gets to the cup. Booker is a solid defender and moves well laterally. Booker takes care of the ball and has a great basketball IQ. Booker shot 82.8 percent from the free throw line. Devin Booker is a good kid with a strong work ethic and comes with no off-the-court issues. Booker will be 19 years old in October.
Weaknesses: Devin Booker isn’t really athletic and doesn’t have the quickness to beat guys off the dribble. Booker needs to improve his ball handling. Booker isn’t a great rebounder despite his above-average size. Booker will need to add upper-body strength.
Projection: Devin Booker is ready to play in the NBA right now due to his shooting ability. Every team is looking for guys who can knockdown the deep ball and there will always be a place for them. While Booker has his flaws, he should be a middle first round pick and will be able to contribute right away.
