Strengths: Justin Anderson has a big and long NBA body with a 6’11” wingspan. Anderson always makes the right bball play and has a high basketball IQ. Anderson has great range and will be a consistent deep ball shooter at the next level. Anderson lives for the big moment and has knocked down big shots in his career. Anderson has a good quick step and finishes through contact. Anderson is extremely athletic. Anderson is a terrific defender and has great hops that help him block shots. Anderson shot 75.2 percent from the free throw line. Justin Anderson is a team player with a strong work ethic and comes with no off-the-court issues.
Weaknesses: Justin Anderson needs to learn how to create his shot off the dribble. Anderson doesn’t do one thing great that separates himself from the pack. Anderson had an emergency appendectomy and a broken finger. Anderson needs to improve his touch around the rim. Anderson isn’t a great rebounder despite his size and athleticism. Anderson will already be 22 years old in November.
Projection: Justin Anderson should be a first round pick due to his ability to defend and knockdown the outside shot. Anderson also has great athleticism that NBA teams are going to love. Of course, there are things Anderson must work on, but he’s a solid player who plays hard at both ends of the floor. Anderson could carve out a solid NBA career as a key role player.
