Career Stats: 15 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 5.2 assists and 2.3 steals
Strengths: Delon Wright has great size for his position and has great athleticism. Wright rebounds extremely well for his position. Wright is an above-average defender with quick hands and contests most shots well. Wright has a quick first step and can get the rim easily. Wright can create his own shot from anywhere. Wright takes care of the basketball and makes the right play. Wright sees the floor well and does a nice job of setting his teammates up. Wright shot 81.4 percent from the free throw line. Wright is a creative scorer and has a good feel for the game. Wright knows when to pick his spots on the offensive end. Delon Wright is a good kid with a great work ethic and comes with no off-the-court issues.
Weaknesses: Although improved, Delon Wright can be more consistent with his outside jumper. Wright needs to be more comfortable with his shot overall. Wright can sometimes be a little too passive and needs to learn to be more aggressive. Wright is already 23 years old.
Projection: Delon Wright is going to be far better than his brother Dorell Wright and is going to be an All-Star caliber player in no time. I’m very high on Wright, as he has the frame, the offensive ability and always works hard on the defensive end. There’s really not much to dislike when it comes to Wright. I see Wright being a key face to the team that drafts him and wouldn’t be shocked if he’s a Top 50 player in this league at some point. I really, really like what Wright brings to the table.
