NBA Player Updates 5/12: The Latest News from Around the League, Tonight's TV Schedule and More
May 12, 2015
After two games in the NBA Playoffs last night, we’ve got two more coming our way this evening. While we’re waiting on tip-offs, let’s check out some of the notable players around the league and see some of the latest stats.
Hawks-Wizards: The Atlanta-Washington series out East is getting pretty interesting. The Hawks drove past the Wizards last night for a tough road win 106-101 to tie things up at two games apiece as the matchup heads back to Atlanta tomorrow night.
Jeff Teague came up with 26 points while Paul Millsap managed 19 points, six assists and five rebounds. Al Horford doubled up on 18 points and 10 rebounds of his own.
This one was almost a different result. Paul Pierce missed a 3-pointer with less than 10 seconds left that would have tied the game up. It would have been reminiscent of his buzzer-beater just two days before that won Game 3.
Bradley Beal paced the Wizards here with a career playoff-high 34 points, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Hawks’ edge on points in the paint, which was a very lopsided 16-0 at one point in the early-going.

Warriors-Grizzlies: The Warriors coasted to the Western Conference regular-season crown, but have had a little difficulty in this semifinal round of the playoffs.
That wasn’t the case last night, as they cruised to a 101-84 blowout of the Grizzlies in Memphis. That series is now tied 2-2.
Stephen Curry logged 33 points, with 21 of those coming before halftime. The team really needed it, as the Warriors were on a two-game skid coming into this one, and hadn’t lost three straight games all year.
Draymond Green added 16 points and 10 rebounds here, while Klay Thompson pitched in with 15 points.
On the other side, Marc Gasol had 19 points and 10 rebounds for the Grizzlies, while Zach Randolph also doubled up on 12 points and 11 boards.
