There are two more pivotal games tonight in the 2015 NBA Playoffs, so it should be a memorable evening for basketball fans. While we’re getting ready for game time, let’s take our daily look at the league headlines and see what’s going on out there.
Hawks-Wizards: What a close game we had in Atlanta last night between the Hawks and the Wizards. Thanks to a late follow from Al Horford, the home team came through with an 82-81 victory and a 3-2 lead in the series.
The Hawks needed it, too. They went over seven minutes in the fourth quarter without a field goal, then burst forth with 14 unanswered points to retake the lead. After a late Paul Pierce 3-pointer, Atlanta seemed all but done until Horford’s game-saving basket.
Horford would finish with 23 points and 11 rebounds in all. Kyle Korver had a tough go of things, making just one basket on the night--a 3-pointer in the fourth.
On the other side, Bradley Beal kept pace with 23 points in the losing effort.
Game 6 is tomorrow night in DC.

Warriors-Grizzlies: We saw another 2-2 tied series last night out West, and the Warriors were able to take Game 5 at home to gain the advantage in that one.
Stephen Curry logged another strong performance in the 98-78 win, helping his team to a 3-2 edge in that matchup. He bagged 18 points on six 3-pointers with seven rebounds and five assists. Curry also logged six steals, which is a career playoff-high for him.
Klay Thompson added 21 points and Harrison Barnes managed 14 of his own in the Warriors’ second straight victory of the series.
On the other side, Marc Gasol doubled up on 18 points and 12 rebounds while Zach Randolph did the same on 13 points and 10 rebounds.
The Warriors can finish off the series with Game 6 tomorrow night in Memphis.
